Notified operations - 2011 Contest
  • Note that T32C will not be formally entering the CW contest but will welcome calls form contest stations. They will not issue serial numbers so please log them using the "non-contest" default of 001
  • The East Coast Contesters team will operate as ZM4T in the Multi Two category.  (Multi ops, two stations simultaneously, all bands)
    Ops will be ZL2ST, ZL2WG, ZL2FAR, ZL3IO, ZL2WG and ZL2AL

  • In order to encourage 160m activity, the committee recomends checking between 1855kHz and 1865kHz at 15 minutes and 45 minutes past the hour during the Phone contest
  • Tim K6GEP reminds the Phone ops down under to listen at 7128 and up for USA
  • News from Chris VK3QB:
I will be operating from YJ0VK with 7 other ops from 30 Sept until 12 Oct.
We will be participating in the contest (both SSB and CW) and are looking
forward to good conditions and hopefully some good contacts. We'll have 4
operators who are new DXpeditioning and contesting, so I don't expect we'll
be going "hammer and tongs" but I do hope the contest will provide good
exposure to this fun aspect of radio for the new guys. The US guys are Tom
NQ7R and Ben N6MUF. and most of you probably know Luke VK3HJ. We are
looking forward to some solid radio cx on a nice tropical island. For more
    info visit http://yj0vk.odxg.org
  • I will be operating from VK4KW with fellow committee member VK7GN and former member VK4EMM as well as the usual VK4KW suspects - VK4BAA, VK4NDX, VK4DX, VK4SN we are trying to sort out what category - we like M2 but may try Multi Single or Multi Multi - Trent VK4TI

  • Hans Peter HB9IK reports: This year I will operate the oc- contest on the hilltop QRO station of Aloys HB9AAA in the Highpower class. After breakdown of Aloys’s beam antenna he repaired it and installed an new rotor.
I hope to meet al lot of old and new friends in the cw part , I will enjoy it
  • The ZL6QH team are still working on a new site, and will not be active in the 2011 contest due to the antenna farm having to be dismantled to make way for a wind farm. See www.zl6qh.com for more info
